What's new in SE19 this season?

Leaving aside the small matter of national leadership, what’s new and changing right here in Crystal Palace in October and November 2022.

We've seen a fabulous start to the Autumn with new pop-up entertainment venues created in September by the Crystal Palace Festival team, their sponsors and of course, fantastic local talent. Check out this Instagram post for a selection of the scenes

Stylish changes have been afoot at Do South. Owner and musician Freddie, fresh from his relaunch party, has created a smart showroom space for his successful Crystal Palace based interior design business. If you are a builder, architect, industry/trade professional or home owner planning a new kitchen, fitted bedroom or other living space, Do South home is open for appointments and consultations. Their range of accessories and gift items are now available to buy online.

Over the road on the corner of Westow Hill and Westow Street, we welcome back the Sparrowhawk, with a new look, sports screens, food and a new front of house team.

Have you tried it yet?

Anerley Road is always changing these days. No 44, formerly The Hill cafe, will be the new home for the Crystal Palace Wine Club. Currently a wine subscription service. Expect more pop-up evenings and cheese and charcuterie to-go from Late November 2022. Can’t wait.

Crespidia's second branch is now open for business on Anerley Road, drop in for hot drinks and pastries and place your orders for occasion cakes.

Up the hill. The refurb of Doris Florist is underway. Welcome Sapore Vero coming soon to Crystal Palace Parade, adding to their branches in Beckenham and Hither Green. Handy for Crystal Palace Park. We like the look of their pizza kits for something a little different to try at home.

Seems like SE19 is rapidly becoming the pizza capital of South East London. Adding to our coffee and vintage crowns.

A big welcome back to Antenna Studios Cafe, which is under new management. Currently open Tuesday to Sunday on Haynes Lane for daytime drinks and snacks and private bookings for events. A perfect pitstop when you are visiting Crystal Palace Food Market or the Haynes Lane traders. Have tried a toastie yet? Who can resist a gingerbread hot chocolate?

Keep an eye on their Insta for menu updates and specials and pop round the corner to check them out next time your are on Westow Street.
